Celesio wanted to exhibit their services at a variety of exhibitions and found that their current stand, incorporating a 6"x10" driving game, was too big for some of the smaller venues.
The large driving game
Rather than designing a new concept, we took the existing model and turned it into a 3D AR version, keeping the same key messages as before.
We used a little known technique in AR where the 3D scene is set up opposite to typical configurations. This provided great perspective for the players, allowing them to move around to see around buildings.
The AR marker technique
The AR was triggered by a large image on a wall, taking up very little space for the players.
The app was connected to a large screen so other delegates could see the game in action, which was a useful way to draw in the crowds.
The brief was to reduce space requirements at exhibitions using augmented reality. This was achieved by creating an AR version of their driving game which took up a tenth of the area, activated from a large wall mounted image.
